About the Author
Juan Alfredo Pinto Saavedra was the Colombian Ambassador to India (2007-2013). Having studied economics and administration, Pinto Saavedra's (b. 1953) encounter with fiction came about in his many travels to various continents. He started writing chronicles of his trips and later wrote a series of stories for a book entitled The Lotus Flower: Stories from Asia. This book was published in 2010 in Spanish and was later translated into English and into Hindi by the Sahitya Akademi.
