Leaving her to a governess, Malvika’s bureaucrat father and socialite mother had no time to love her or understand the yearnings and pain that comes with growing up. She falls in love with her teacher Bhupen but he marries her friend Savita. Her father’s sudden death forces Malvika and her mother to move to ‘Nirmal Kunj’, their ancestral home in Mussoorie. Nirmal Kunj is filled with memories of her grandfather, Lala Goverdhan and his love for the dancing girl, Johar Bai. Malvika’s mother marries Pierre, a French artist and goes away with him to Paris. I am a seeker and my search goes on... traces the journey of Malvika’s life as she continues to seek herself. About the Author

Dr. Kusum Ansal is a novelist, short story writer, poet and travelogue narrator with 32 books to her credit. The movie Panchvati directed by late Basu Bhatacharya was based on her famous novel Uski Panchvati. The screenplay and dialogues of the movie were written by her. She has also written three serials for TV of which Titliyan was very popular. She is a recipient of several literary awards—‘Hindi Academy Sahityakar Samman’, Sahitya Booshan Samman and IWEC in South Africa to name a few. Kusum Ansal has a Masters degree in Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University and a Phd in Hindi literature from Punjab University.
